Insurance and Billing

When you schedule your procedure, our schedulers will request your insurance information. We do this to make your registration on the day of your procedure as stress-free as possible. Our staff at registration will simply ask you to verify all the information we have such as your address, contact information and insurance information. You will need to provide registration with a photo ID and your insurance card(s). We ask that all co-insurance and co-payments be paid at the time the service is performed. We will perform courtesy billing for you, provided you have given us all pertinent billing information.

Your insurance coverage is an agreement between you and your insurance company. Financial responsibility rests with the patient for deductibles, co-insurance and non-covered services. In addition to personal checks, we accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express. We offer the option to pay bills online. Pay online using our secure server here. You may receive four separate bills, the facility fee, pathology, your physician’s professional fee and a bill from the anesthiologist, if applicable. We will help you determine what your insurance carrier will cover and what you will be responsible for prior to your appointment. It is customary that your portion of the charges be paid for at the time of service.

Don’t hesitate to call us with any insurance or billing questions. Questions regarding any bill you have received can be answered by our Centralized Billing Office at 240-485-5200. Our staff is eager to address any questions or concerns you may have.
